I'm playing around a bit trying to build an updated converter for WindUS files. In working on it I noticed that at least some of the cgnstools/utilities cannot open HDF5 files. They seem to work fine with ADF files, Also, cgnsview can open the files fine. But when you click on, for example tools/check CGNS, it fails with:
reading CGNS file multi_hdf5.cgns
CGNSlib ERROR:cg_open:cgio_open_file:File-open error
This happens with hdf5 files in the examples, and with hdf5 files converted from ADF with cgnsview/save. Note that the ADF version of the files seem to run smoothly. There seems to be some issue with cgio_open_file, but I do not see it on a simple perusal, and I'm not sure I'm ready to try and dig into the source and debugging quite yet.
I'm still not comfortable with github and attlassian tools so I thought I'd start by writing you.
As I am writing this, it occurs to me that perhaps I am using too new an hdf5 library? I am using 1.12.0 - could that be confusing the utilities? (cgnsview and utilities are all built with the same HDF5 distribution...)
Please have a look at . It should fix this issue.
